Vietnam launches business culture values framework for sustainable growth
VOV.VN - Vietnam has officially introduced a new framework of business culture values aimed at promoting integrity, innovation, and sustainable development in the country’s corporate sector.
The announcement was made at the 2026 National Forum on Corporate Culture held in Hanoi on March 21.
At the forum, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh called on the business community to actively implement and promote the newly launched set of Vietnamese business culture values in the new era.
He emphasised that building a business community characterized by integrity, creativity, responsibility, and global integration would contribute significantly to Vietnam’s goal of achieving prosperity and happiness.
The Deputy Prime Minister urged ministries, sectors, and local authorities to continue improving a transparent business environment and to embed ethical and cultural values into policymaking.
Business associations were encouraged to play a leading role in recognising exemplary enterprises, while each company was called upon to act as a hub for spreading positive cultural values.
“Each entrepreneur should become an ambassador of Vietnamese corporate culture,” he stated.
According to Ho Anh Tuan, chairman of the Vietnam Association for Business Culture Development, the new framework is built on the guiding message: “A facilitating government – proactive enterprises – culture as the foundation.” It is underpinned by the philosophy that businesses should operate not only for profit, but also for human well-being, national prosperity, and the future of coming generations.
The framework includes 12 core values and is expected to serve as a foundation for shaping standards of Vietnamese enterprises, contributing to rapid, sustainable, and culturally distinctive economic development.
Speaking at the forum, Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, highlighted that in an era of deep international integration, corporate culture has become a key competitive advantage.
She noted that the success of a brand depends not only on technology or capital, but also on integrity, transparency, and the cultural identity it builds and promotes.
Vietnam’s cultural development strategy, outlined in the Politburo’s Resolution 80, identifies the development of entrepreneurs with strong ethical standards and a distinct national cultural identity as a central task.
The forum featured two main discussion sessions focusing on improving institutional frameworks for new business standards and promoting the role of enterprises in spreading values and enhancing competitiveness.
Participants reaffirmed that the State plays a facilitating role in building institutions and a favourable environment, while enterprises act as the central force driving growth and innovation. Culture, in turn, serves as the foundational value guiding sustainable economic development.
