Vietnam - Laos Trade Fair 2022 enhances trade connectivity
VOV.VN - The Vietnam - Laos Trade Fair 2022 kicked off in the Lao capital of Vientiane on November 3 with the aim of strengthening friendly ties and trade exchanges between the two countries.
As part of his opening speech at the event, Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San emphasised that the occasion has been one of several large-scale socio-political activities being held to celebrate 2022 as a year of solidarity and friendship between the two sides.
The functions also provided an ideal venue for Vietnamese enterprises to seek potential partners, expand trade relations with Lao firms, and elevate the level of Vietnamese brands to foreign firms.
Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San expressed his belief that the event will create favourable conditions to further promote friendship exchanges and comprehensive ties as well as consolidating the traditional partnership and tighten time-honorured solidarity between both countries.
The five-day event attracted hundreds of businesses from various countries from Cambodia, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Israel, showcasing their products throughout roughly 150 booths at the event.
At the fair, several major Vietnamese enterprises, including Viettel, Thaco, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Saigon Newport Corporations, and Vietnam Helicopters, displayed their products such as garments and textiles, agro-forestry-fishery items, handicrafts, processed foods, electricity - electronics, mechanics, chemicals, and construction materials.
The highlight of the event is a scheme held to introduce products by enterprises through network platform Videx.vn, as well as online seminars.
