Vietnam – Laos expo 2022 attracts hundreds of businesses

VOV.VN - Hundreds of businesses are taking part in the Vietnam – Laos expo 2022 which opened in Vientiane on November 3 aimed at seeking partners and boosting the export of products in each other’s markets, as well as other markets in Southeast Asia.

Among the Vietnamese exhibitors are Military Telecommunications and Industry Corporation (Viettel), Saigon Newport Corporation, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, and the Military Economic Cooperation Corporation Zone 4. The fair also attracted many military Vietnamese enterprises in the fields of garment, shoe manufacturing, chemical engineering, and food.

On display are products and services of military-run enterprises of Vietnam and Laos, as well as consumer goods, farm products, food and others produced by enterprises of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, the Republic of Korea and Japan taking part in the event.

Workshops and fact-finding tours will be held during the expo. Notably, among them will be a workshop on applying technology in digital transformation and effectively engaging in the global supply chain.

Online displays and trade connections will also take place on the Videx.vn platform on this occasion.

The five-day expo is part of activities to celebrate the Vietnam - Laos Year of Friendship and Solidarity 2022, creating favourable conditions for businesses to seek partners, expand partnerships, and boost product exports and tourism cooperation, according to Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San, deputy minister of National Defence of Vietnam.
