Vietnam increases trade promotion, market connections in RoK
VOV.VN - The Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently organised a trade promotion campaign in the Republic of Korea (RoK) to support Vietnamese businesses in expanding exports and promoting their products in the Korean market.

Seventeen Vietnamese businesses specialising in agriculture, seafood, food and beverages, and construction materials took part in a wide range of activities, including a seminar, business matching sessions, a market survey, and product showcases.
The programme received strong support from the Vietnam Trade Office in Korea, the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC), the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA).
At the Korea import fair in Seoul, the delegation showcased products at a pavilion to popularise Vietnamese brands and seek potential partners in Korea and the broader region.
Ngo Thi Thu Hong, CEO of Ameii Vietnam JSC, shared that participation in the fair helped her company not only reach Korean importers but also establish connections with a major Malaysian supermarket chain interested in dried fruit products.
Nguyen Huu Xuan Thanh, another member of the delegation, said the event helped his company introduce its high-tech nut milk products to potential Korean distributors, demonstrating the practical benefits of showcasing Vietnamese products at international events.
During the Vietnam–Korea trade promotion seminar, co-organised by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the ASEAN–Korea Centre, speakers emphasised the importance of digital transformation and science and technology in driving bilateral trade growth.
AKC representative Win Min Phyoe expected that Vietnam–RoK trade would hit US$150 billion by 2030, with expanded cooperation in sectors like mining, sustainability, and net-zero emissions.
Korean partners expressed high appreciation for the quality and long-term potential of Vietnamese agricultural and seafood products, which continue to meet Korean import standards.
The programme not only deepened Vietnamese businesses’ understanding of the Korean market but also contributed to strengthening bilateral trade relations and enhancing the global presence of Vietnamese goods, said the Trade Promotion Agency.
