Vietnam imports over 10,000 cars during first half of November

VOV.VN - The country spent a total of US$212.71 million on importing 10,129 completely built-up (CBU) cars of all kinds throughout the first 15 days of November, according to figures released by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

These statistics represent an increase of 173.3% in volume compared to the same period from last year.

As of November 15, the country had imported 153,011 CBU cars with a total value of US$3.15 billion, marking a rise of 13.81% in volume and 23.34% in value on-year.

Throughout the reviewed period, Indonesia represented the biggest supplier of cars to the Vietnamese market with 57,693 units valued at US$843.74 million.

Thailand ranked second in terms of volume, but took the lead for value. The neighbouring country exported 54,481 units worth US$1.06 billion to the Vietnamese market.

Elsewhere, China exported 24,613 units worth US$732.75 million to the country, ranking third in terms of both quantity and value.
