Vietnam exports over 1.1 million tonnes of oil and petroleum in H1

VOV.VN - Vietnam shipped more than 1.1 million tonnes of oil and petroleum abroad for US$961.6 million during the first half of the year, up 1.03% in volume and 2.6% in value compared to the same period from last year.

According to statistics released by the General Department of Customs, June saw the country earn US$99.4 million from exporting 123,361 tonnes of oil and petroleum, posting decreases of 38.8% in value and 39.6% in volume compared to May.

Throughout the January to June period, Cambodia represented the largest importer of Vietnamese oil and petroleum products with a volume of 222,903 tonnes and a value of US$183.4 million, marking drops of 29.7% and 31.3%, respectively.

The Republic of Korea came second with an import value of US$120.4 million, up 33.8% and 39.3%, respectively. The third position went to China with 116,388 tonnes worth US$108.6 million,  up  by 36.5% and 35.1%.

Singapore, Laos, Malaysia, and Thailand were also large importers of Vietnamese oil and petroleum products throughout the reviewed period.
