“Vietnam Day” held as part of Havana International Fair
VOV.VN -A “Vietnam Day” is being held within the framework of the 37th Havana International Fair 2019 (FIHAV 2019) in Cuba, attracting a huge number of interested local and foreign enterprises.
The trade deal was signed during President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of Cuba Miguel Mario Diaz Canel Bermudez’s visit to Vietnam in November 2018 and is expected to contribute to boosting trade relations and serving to create more favourable conditions for the business community.
She also stated her determination to provide support to Vietnamese firms looking to access the Cuban market, whilst also promoting local brands, thereby establishing a goods distribution and consumption network within Cuba and throughout the Caribbean.
In his remarks, Antonio Carricarte, Cuba’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, stressed that the increased number of Vietnamese enterprises attending this year’s fair indicates the importance of their investment projects in Cuba.
The island nation will continue to act as a bridge for Vietnamese enterprises to gain easier access to the Caribbean market, he said.
At the fair, a 400-sqm Vietnam pavillion has been erected, featuring a huge number of booths from 51 Vietnamese businesses.
The FIHAV 2019 running until November 8, is seen as the largest version ever held and has attracted approximately 4,000 exhibitors from 60 countries worldwide.
