Vietnam-Canada Business Association expands reach with Eastern Chapter

VOV.VN - The Vietnam-Canada Business Association (VCBA) has broadened its footprint with the launch of its Eastern Chapter, a move set to strengthen community ties and augment deeper cooperation between the two nations.

The establishment of the Eastern Chapter marks a significant milestone in VCBA’s expansion, catering to the increasing demand for networking and collaboration among Vietnamese and Canadian entrepreneurs. Beyond enhancing business connections, the chapter aims to cultivate a thriving Vietnamese community in Canada while preserving strong links to Vietnam.

Chung Vinh, president of the VCBA Eastern Chapter, highlighted the region’s unique business landscape, where education, immigration, investment, and logistics play pivotal roles alongside traditional trade. He noted that Vietnamese businesses have significantly improved their capabilities and competitiveness, positioning them to succeed in the Canadian market.

Launched at a critical juncture, the chapter is expected to provide vital support for both Vietnamese and Canadian enterprises, as well as Vietnamese businesses seeking opportunities in Canada. Notably, plans are underway to establish the first Vietnamese-owned school in the region, addressing the growing number of Vietnamese students choosing Canada for their education.

The chapter has outlined three core objectives, including strengthening community ties and supporting Vietnamese growth in Canada, promoting Vietnamese products and culture on the global stage, and advancing Vietnam-Canada cooperation in trade, culture, technology, and lifestyle.

To achieve these goals, the chapter will roll out initiatives that connect Vietnamese businesses in Canada with established Canadian enterprises, fostering new avenues for collaboration and expansion. Through these efforts, it seeks to empower its members to thrive and secure a strong foothold in the Canadian market.

Founded in Vancouver two years ago, VCBA was established to bridge networking and business support gaps for entrepreneurs from both countries. The creation of the Eastern Chapter reinforces this mission, demonstrating VCBA’s continued commitment to facilitating connections and promoting trade between Vietnam and Canada.
