Vietfish 2025 showcases Vietnam’s global seafood strength
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) opened the Vietnam International Seafood Exhibition 2025 (Vietfish 2025) in Ho Chi Minh City on August 20.

Under the theme “Innovation – Sustainability”, Vietfish 2025 emphasises Vietnam’s vision to overcome challenges, create long-term value, achieve a US$10 billion export target, and maintain a position among the world’s top three seafood exporters.
The expo features 526 booths from 280 Vietnamese enterprises and 17 international pavilions from countries, including Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and Denmark, offering a dynamic overview of the global seafood industry.
It showcases a wide range of seafood products, from fresh ingredients to processed goods, catering to both export and domestic markets. Enterprises also highlight advanced farming, preservation, and processing technologies, expanding opportunities for cooperation, technology transfer, and product innovation. Shrimp and pangasius remain key products, showing strong growth in major markets such as China, the US, and Japan.
According to VASEP chairman Do Ngoc Tai, Vietfish 2025, against the backdrop of fluctuating global seafood markets, the exhibition serves as both a major platform for Vietnamese businesses and a key bridge to strengthen Vietnam’s position in international trade.
Vietfish 2025 is expected to drive seafood trade, enhance competitiveness, and promote sustainable growth, helping Vietnam maintain its position among the world’s leading seafood-exporting nations, said Tai.
Tran Dinh Luan, director of the Directorate of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, described the exhibition as a vital forum to highlight the quality, value, and brand of Vietnamese seafood, connect industry players and supply chains, and provide strategic insights on green, sustainable development and global integration.
Vietfish 2025 continues to support green transformation, the application of modern technologies, and sustainable development, he said, adding it also serves as a platform to share market trends, solutions, and industry experience.
Running from August 20–23, the exhibition will include seminars, industry conferences, B2B matchmaking sessions, culinary demonstrations, and product tastings, providing additional opportunities for promotion and hands-on experiences for visitors, investors, and international partners.
