VCCI honours 100 Vietnamese businesses for integrity and reputation
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has honoured 100 businesses for their efforts to foster ethical business practices, build corporate culture and promote sustainable development.
The winners of its 2026 Cultural and Reputable Business programme were announced at a ceremony on October 31, recognising companies with positive business performance that place a strong emphasis on corporate culture and social responsibility.
In his opening remarks, VCCI President Ho Sy Hung said corporate reputation is built not only on business results but also on the trust of customers, partners, employees and society. Business culture, he noted, should be reflected in management decisions, product and service quality, and the fulfilment of corporate commitments.
This year’s programme recognised 100 businesses from a range of sectors and localities across Vietnam. The initiative also forms part of VCCI’s activities ahead of Vietnam Culture Day and the National Great Unity Day in November 2026, highlighting the business community’s role in preserving and promoting Vietnamese culture amid deeper international integration.
According to Hung, a company’s value should not be measured solely by revenue, profit or scale of operations. Compliance with the law, keeping commitments to customers and partners, protecting workers’ rights, safeguarding the environment and contributing to the community are equally important.
Quality products, Vietnamese brands trusted by international markets, and businesses that operate with integrity and responsibility all help promote Vietnam’s image, people and culture, he added.
According to the organising committee, applications were independently reviewed and scored by a selection council in accordance with the programme’s rules and assessment criteria, with the aim of ensuring objectivity and transparency. The assessment covered business performance, corporate reputation, legal compliance, corporate culture, business ethics and social responsibility.
The 100 selected businesses were divided into three ranking groups: Top 20, Top 30 and Top 50. The 20 highest-ranked companies were recommended to receive Certificates of Merit from the VCCI Chairman.
Among the honourees was Chemical Company No. 21, a state-owned defence enterprise specialising in the manufacture of explosives and blasting accessories for the mining and construction industries.
The company is also the only enterprise in Vietnam producing fireworks for celebrations nationwide and exporting them to international markets, according to the source. In recognition of its achievements, it has received both the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and the title of Labour Hero during the Renewal period on two occasions.
