US opens anti-dumping investigation on Vietnamese gas powered pressure washers
VOV.VN - The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the launch of an investigation into gas powered pressure washers imported from some countries, including Vietnam, as many products had allegedly been sold in the United States at less than fair value.
The DOC initially started an anti-dumping investigation on gas powered pressure washers imported from both Vietnam and China on January 19, 2022.
The investigation period for Vietnam was from April 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022. However, the process was extended and a preliminary determination relating to the anti-dumping duty will be announced before February 21.
According to the US International Trade Commission, the value of Vietnamese gas powered pressure washer exports to the US market, which were under investigation, surged to US$430 million in 2021, rising by 1.5 times against 2020 and 25 times against 2019.
The alleged dumping margin for Vietnamese exporters is therefore between 110.23% and 225.65%.
