US firms to head to HCM City for Vietnam International Sourcing 2025
VOV.VN - Despite ongoing volatility in the global trade environment, a large contingent of businesses from the United States, comprising of major importers and suppliers across multiple sectors, has confirmed participation in Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 (VIS 2025) slated for September 4-6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

From the West Coast state of Oregon, a large business delegation will attend VIS 2025 accompanied by Congressman Daniel Nguyen. The group includes prominent companies operating in agriculture, food, technology, outdoor fashion, and logistics services. Their itinerary emphasises B2B engagements, standard alignment, supply model discussions, and on-site factory visits in industrial parks.
Beyond VIS 2025, the Oregon delegation will continue activities in Hanoi and Da Nang, aiming to sign cooperation documents with Vietnamese partners.
From the South, VIS 2025 will also host the largest-ever delegation from Texas, representing top importers, distributors, and logistics firms including L&V Food Supply, C&T Produce Wholesale, Ca Mau Supermarket, Port Houston, and MIB – Morris International Beverage.
These companies are actively seeking Vietnamese suppliers in a wide range of sectors such as
mechatronics, machinery, textiles, chemicals & plastics, leather & footwear, food & beverages, handicrafts, and furniture.
Most notably, the participation of Port Houston signals growing interest in optimising logistics routes and tapping into the southern US distribution network.
American companies attending VIS 2025 will prioritise on-the-ground engagement with Vietnamese enterprises by reviewing catalogs, evaluating technical standards, discussing ESG compliance, product traceability, delivery timelines, and sustainable sourcing strategies.
“This is a clear signal that demand for supply chain connections with Vietnam remains strong. The trend is shifting toward sourcing directly from Vietnamese manufacturers to shorten logistics chains, reduce costs, and increase flexibility,” said a representative from the Department of Overseas Market Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
With strengths in cost, product quality, and adaptability, combined with rising competitiveness and regulatory compliance, Vietnamese enterprises have strong opportunities to secure shelf space through the American distributors and logistics networks represented at VIS 2025.
By combining US strengths in technology, finance, and management expertise with Vietnam’s market advantages and high-quality workforce, VIS 2025 is expected to become a springboard for strategic trade and investment projects. The Ministry of Industry and Trade anticipates that many deals and contracts will be signed during the event, ushering in a new chapter in economic ties between Vietnam and Oregon and Texas in particular, and Vietnam–US relations overall.
