Up to 120,000 job vacancies available in Hanoi in Q1

Enterprises in Hanoi need to recruit from 100,000-120,000 workers in the first quarter of 2024.

Fields that need large numbers of employees include trade, services, industry, processing and manufacturing, information technology, e-commerce, and finance and banking, said Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Centre for Employment Services under the municipal Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Thanks to efforts to implement labour market development solutions, from the end of 2023 to early 2024, recruitment demand is increasing again in textile, garment, footwear, and electrical - electronics enterprises.

Job fairs held since the beginning of this year have attracted many businesses to come to recruit labourers to serve their production and business activities after the upcoming week-long Lunar New Year holiday.

Notably, during this time, businesses in the aviation industry continuously need to train human resources for a variety of positions.

Truong Thi Phuong from the Flight Training Centre of the Vietnam Aviation Academy Joint Stock Company, said that from now to 2030, the country will have about 30 airports, of which Long Thanh airport alone will need 16,000 employees.
