Trung Nguyen Legend breaks ground on Asia’s largest energy coffee factory in Dak Lak

VOV.VN - Trung Nguyen Legend commenced construction of its energy coffee factory on March 10 at Tan An Industrial Cluster in Buon Ma Thuot City, in the central highland province of Dak Lak.

The facility, the company’s fifth factory in Vietnam, is designed to enhance the value of Buon Ma Thuot’s Robusta coffee beans and boost deep processing capabilities, with the long-term vision of transforming Buon Ma Thuot into the "coffee capital of the world."

With a total investment exceeding VND 2,000 billion, the project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase, valued at nearly VND 1,000 billion, marks a significant milestone in Trung Nguyen Legend’s expansion strategy.

Expected to be the largest coffee production facility in Asia, the factory will incorporate cutting-edge technologies from Germany, Italy, and other advanced countries.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Nguyen Tuan Ha, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, highlighted that this is the second Trung Nguyen Legend factory in the province. He emphasized that the investment will accelerate the development of the coffee processing industry, create new job opportunities, improve local livelihoods, and make a remrarkable contribution to the province’s economy.

Vanusia Nogueira, executive director of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), praised Trung Nguyen Legend’s expansion efforts. She noted that the project not only represents an economic breakthrough but also reflects a harmonious blend of global vision and local values, aligning with the increasing global demand for Robusta coffee.

She further emphasized that the factory will serve as a model for sustainable development, benefiting farmers, communities, and consumers worldwide, while symbolizing innovation and shared prosperity on a global scale.
