Trade ministry to inspect multiple State, private firms
The Ministry of Industry and Trade will carry out annual inspections into numerous public and private entities in the fields of multi-level marketing, petroleum, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals this year.

Administrative inspectors at the ministry will inspect the Leather and Shoe Research Institute, the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Vietnam-Hungary Industrial University, Industrial and Construction College, and Electric Power University.
Two enterprises in the list of administrative inspections are Vietnam Industrial Construction Corporation (Vinaincon) and Hanoi Alcohol, Beer and Beverage Company (Habeco).
Inspectors will make specialized inspections at Petrolimex Gas Corporation, Petrovietnam Northern Gas JSC, and Power Generation Corporation 2.
Furthermore, the Vietnam eCommerce and Digital Economy Agency, a unit of the ministry, intends to check regulatory compliance in terms of e-commerce at VHC Trading Co Ltd, located in the southernmost province of Ca Mau, and HCMC-based Recess Co Ltd, the operator of online channel Lazada.vn in the second half of this year.
The Vietnam Competition Authority will check a range of aspects about consumers’ information protection practices, the provision of details on products and services, and the responsibility for receiving and handling customer complaints, and warranty operations.
This list includes some lenders – Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank), Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam, and Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) – and consumer finance firm HD Saison Co Ltd, as well as Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Vietnam Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel).
Others on the radar of the ministry also comprises some multi-level marketing businesses such as Thien Su Vietnam in the northern province of Hai Duong, HCMC-based New Image Vietnam, Hanoi-based World Vietnam, and HCMC-based Morinda Vietnam.
