Top agricultural export products this year

VOV.VN - Agri-forestry and aquatic product exports in 2016 reach US$32.1 billion with many products obtaining a value of more than US1 billion each.

Wood and timber product exports inched up 0.3% to US$6.91 billion.

The US, Japan and China are the three largest importers of Vietnam wood and timber products, accounting for 69.2% of total export revenue.

Seafood exports hit US$6.99 billion, a year-on-year rise of 6.4%.

Four leading consumers of Vietnam seafood - the US, Japan, China and the Republic of Korea – made up 54.4% of total export value.

Coffee exports jumped 33.6% in volume to 1.79 million tons and 25.6% in value to US$3.36 billion.

Germany and the US remained the two largest importers of Vietnam coffee in the first 11 months of this year with market shares of 15.2% and 13.1%, respectively.

Vietnam companies shipped 347,000 tons of cashew nuts abroad to get US$2.84 billion this year, up 5.6% in volume and 18.4% in value.

The US, China, and the Netherlands are leading consumers of Vietnam cashew nuts with market shares of 34.1%, 14.9% and 13.3%, respectively.

Rice exports dipped 25.8% in volume to 4.88 million tons and 21.2% in value to US$2.2 billion.

China is the largest importer of Vietnam rice in the first 11 months of this year with 35.9% market shares.

Rubber exports hit 1.26 million tons valued at US$1.67 billion, up 10.6% in volume and 9% in value.

China and Malaysia are biggest consumers of Vietnam rubber, making up 66.6% of total export value in the first 11 months of this year.

Vietnam exported 177,000 tons of pepper to get US$1.42 billion, up 34.3% in volume and 12.9% in value.

Largest importers of Vietnam pepper are the US, the UAE, India and Germany.

Fruit and vegetable exports reached US$2.305 billion for 11 months and a half of this year.

China is the largest consumer of Vietnam fruit and vegetable, accounting for 70.4% of total export value.
