Top 500 businesses honoured
(VOV) -A ceremony was held in Ho Chi Minh City on January 12 to announce Vietnam’s top 500 businesses of 2015 with State-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) remaining at the top of the 500 Vietnamese biggest enterprises list in terms of revenue (VNR500).
Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), Saigon Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op), Ha Tien 1 JSC, and Viet Tien Garment Joint Stock Corporation were also included in the list.
The ceremony honoured businesses with significant contributions to Vietnam’s economic development over the past years. The ranking acknowledges their remarkable achievements in a fiscal year, focusing on their revenues, growth, and credibility.
In his address, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong hailed the great efforts by the honoured firms to overcome challenges and difficulties in production and business over the past year.
On the occasion, the “White book on Vietnam economy in 2016: on path to integration” was introduced to the public.
The book covers assessments of economic achievements Vietnam recorded in 2015, forecasts for 2016 and the TPP’s impacts on the country’s development and integration.
