Thai Binh pledges to facilitate Japanese investors’ operation

VOV.VN - The northern Vietnamese province of Thai Binh has committed to creating the most favourable conditions possible for Japanese investors seeking to implement projects in the locality, heard a conference held in Tokyo on April 21.

Addressing the event, Lai Van Hoan, deputy head of the Thai Binh provincial administration, emphasised that the province has always facilitated Japanese businesses’ investment in priority fields such as supporting industries, electronics, manufacturing, tourism, high-tech agriculture, and pharmaceuticals manufacturing.

Thai Binh is among localities with the highest economic growth in Vietnam and it is ready to open wide the door for Japanese businesses that have great investment capacity, advanced production technology and high production efficiency, said Hoan.

Taking the floor, Nguyen Duc Minh, Chargé d'affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, affirmed that investment capital flows from Japan into the Vietnamese market have significantly contributed to accelerating the country’s socio-economic development, creating high-quality products, increasing exports, and elevating Vietnam’s status in the world.

In his speech, Michihiro Tanabe, an expert from the ASEAN-Japan Center (AJC), said Thai Binh boasts great potential for further agricultural development, farm produce processing, and supporting industries, adding that the conference will help further boost investment between the two sides.

According to Nguyen Khac Than, head of the Thai Binh administration, the locality will prioritise attracting Japanese investment in fields such as supporting industries, manufacturing, electricity, electronics, and high-tech agriculture, and at the same time seek to ramp up cooperation in training and development of human resources.

Thai Binh will also introduce incentive policies to support Japanese financiers in employee recruitment and training, while simplifying administrative procedures, Than noted.

During the event, leaders of Thai Binh province and Japanese business representatives witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding between Viglacera Corporation and a Japanese consulting firm, as well as between Thai Binh Seed Group Joint Stock Company and Satake Group.
