TechDemo 2017 starts off with stellar success

The three-day event of the demonstration on connecting technology supply and demand in Danang (Techdemo 2017) was kicked off on November 22, 2017.

The event lasts from November 22 to 24 and was designed to promote the application and transfer of technology as well as innovation in regional enterprises in order to boost labour productivity as well as take product quality to a new level. It is also aimed at providing businesses and organisations with the chance to exchange information and seek cooperation opportunities.

The event attracted more than 200 domestic and 55 foreign organisations from the US, Japan, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and Taiwan, who introduced more than 500 technological industrial processes, technologies, research results, and technological products.

This year’s TechDemo specializes in current key sectors, such as auto manufacturing technologies, support industries, alternative energy, and agricultural engineering.

Delivering a speech at the event, Chu Ngoc Anh, Minister of Science and Technology, emphasised that this is a precious opportunity for organisations and individuals to demonstrate their new technologies and products.

The event also helps connect technology demand and supply in tandem with local conditions, supporting the process of technology application, innovation, and transfer.

“This is a supportive activity, boosting the capacity and productivity of demand-supply relations. Additionally, TechDemo 2017 will support technology transfer and the application of scientific and research results, serving the country’s socio-economic development,” said Minister Anh.

Of particular note, 130 contracts worth VND680 billion were successfully signed at the commencement night of TechDemo 2017.
