Tay Ninh sounds out investment opportunities in Japan
VOV.VN - Leaders of Tay Ninh, a province in Southwest Vietnam, hosted a workshop in Tokyo on August 6 to introduce Japanese businesses to investment trends in Vietnam, as well as development orientations and investment incentives of Tay Ninh province.

The event was jointly organised by the administration of Tay Ninh and Saigon VRG Investment Corporation and drew the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, along with Japanese organisations and businesses.
Addressing the event, Nguyen Hong Thanh, vice chairman of Tay Ninh provincial People’s Committee, highly appreciated the longstanding partnership with the Japanese business community, which currently holds 173 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over US$1.2 billion, ranking fourth among foreign investors in the province.
The locality is accelerating key transport infrastructure projects such as the Ho Chi Minh City – Moc Bai, Chon Thanh-Duc Hoa, Go Dau-Xa Mat expressways, ring roads, and the development of border gate economic zones like Moc Bai and Xa Mat, which are oriented toward a model combining industry, urban development, and cross-border trade, he added.
Lu Thanh Nha, general director of Saigon VRG Investment Corporation, gave Japanese firms an overview of Phuoc Dong Industrial Park, which is the largest of its kind in Tay Ninh, spanning a total area of about 2,436 hectares.
The industrial park aims to draw investment in clean industry, high technology, medical equipment manufacturing, electronic components, supporting industries, processed food, and industries supporting the global supply chain, he said.
Nha affirmed the desire to accompany Japanese businesses in forming a sustainable industrial ecosystem, thereby contributing to promoting economic restructuring and improving production capacity in Tay Ninh.
Japanese firms highly appreciated the quality of technical infrastructure, land fund in industrial parks, as well as the ability to connect inter-regional traffic in Tay Ninh. Many investors stated that they would continue to organise in-depth working sessions and send delegations to learn more about the investment environment in Vietnam moving forward.
