State budget revenue tops US$7.27 bln in two months

The total State budget revenue topped VND160 trillion (US$7.27 billion) in the first two months of this year, up 2.4% annually, according to the Finance Ministry. 

Of the figure, the domestic budget collection neared VND140 trillion (US$6.36 billion), or 17.8% of the estimate. 

Revenue from crude oil was on the decrease, reaching VND5.77 trillion (US$262.2 million), equivalent to 10.6% of the estimate and 43.1% of the total reached in the same period last year. 

Meanwhile, State budget collection from export-import activities stood at VND31.2 trillion (US$1.41 billion), down 17.6% year-on-year. 

Also according to the ministry, the State spent nearly VND185.6 trillion (US$8.4 billion), or 14.6% of the estimate, resulting in a budget deficit of VND25.47 trillion (US$1.15 billion), or 10% of the estimate.
