Spring Fair 2026 attracts over 500,000 visitors, generates VND300 billion in sales
The Spring Fair 2026 welcomed more than 500,000 visitors, with total on-site sales estimated at over VND300 billion (US$11.55 million), excluding revenues generated from contracts and trade cooperation agreements sealed during the fair, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
The figures are included in the MoIT's report submitted on February 13 to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, who is also head of the Steering Committee for National Fairs, on the outcomes of the first Glorious Spring Fair, held at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Hanoi from February 2 to 13.
Spanning over 100,000 sq.m inside the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall, the fair was structured into seven themed zones, including a spotlight on Ho Chi Minh City, regional specialties, Vietnamese agricultural products, a Spring of Prosperity zone, an exhibition of value chains in the textile, leather – footwear, wood and handicraft industries, a “Tet of Reunion” space, and a showcase of Vietnamese cultural essence. An outdoor culinary and floral exhibition area covering 43,000 sq.m was also arranged.
The fair brought together more than 2,200 domestic and international enterprises with some 3,000 booths, including over 150 leading Vietnamese corporations, many of which hold the Vietnam Value title. All 34 provinces and cities across the nation participated with dedicated exhibition spaces, alongside organisations and businesses from Cambodia, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Romania, Pakistan and China.
The visitor number averaged about 40,000 per day, surging during weekends and evening hours. The event also attracted foreign delegations from the UK, India, Belgium, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Pakistan, the Philippines and China, who came to explore cooperation and business opportunities.
Daily online surveys conducted by the organisers showed that many booths recorded revenues ranging from several million to hundreds of millions of VND per day, with some enterprises achieving daily sales exceeding 2 billion VND. Notably, around 75% of participating entities reported sharp revenue growth over the weekends.
Beyond commercial activities, the fair featured more than 30 cultural and artistic programmes alongside the opening and closing ceremonies, creating a vibrant atmosphere that blended commerce, culture and traditional Tet celebrations.
Communications efforts were widely rolled out across mainstream media outlets, ministerial and local websites, digital platforms and social networks, generating thousands of news articles, videos and multimedia products. The fair’s Facebook page alone recorded nearly 3 million views between January 30 and February 11, surpassing engagement levels of the Autumn Fair in 2025.
Key media agencies, including the Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television and the Voice of Vietnam, played a central role in ensuring official, timely and well-oriented coverage, helping amplify the fair’s message of “Connecting Prosperity – Welcoming a Glorious Spring”.
Within the framework of the fair, the MoIT also organised forums on e-commerce governance and green, sustainable development, as well as on enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese exports in global value chains.
The organisers awarded certificates to over 2,200 participating enterprises, cooperatives and business households, and planned to honour 64 outstanding collectives at the closing ceremony for their significant contributions to the event’s success.
Despite tight preparation timelines, the Spring Fair 2026 was said to have achieved notable success, serving as a major platform for trade promotion, brand building and domestic consumption stimulus, thereby contributing to economic growth momentum in the first quarter of 2026.
Building on the results, the MoIT has proposed continuing to organise national-scale fairs in line with the Prime Minister’s direction to position Vietnam as a regional hub for exhibitions and trade fairs.
