S.H.E partners with MakeMyTrip to attract more Indian travellers

Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group (S.H.E), Vietnam’s leading entertainment and hospitality brand, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel company.

The partnership aims to showcase Sun Hospitality & Entertainment’s world-class resorts and hotels to a wider audience in India.

India is emerging as a key driver of inbound tourism to Vietnam, aided by rising travel demand and simplified e-visa policies. Indian arrivals grew from 169,000 in 2019 to 392,000 in 2023, a 231% increase. The momentum continued with 501,000 visitors in 2024, and 337,000 arrivals in just the first half of 2025. Today, India ranks among Vietnam’s top 10 international source markets, underscoring its growing importance.

Sun World destinations have mirrored this growth, welcoming nearly 300,000 Indian visitors in the first half of 2025, a 101% increase over the same period in 2024.

Speaking about the partnership, Tran Nguyen, Deputy General Director of Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group, noted that India is now among Vietnam’s fastest-growing source markets, with arrivals more than tripling since 2019. Through our association with MakeMyTrip, we aim to showcase Sun Group’s world-class destinations to Indian travellers and further strengthen Vietnam’s position as a high-quality, experiential destination of choice.”

Jasmeet Singh, Chief Commercial Officer – Holidays & Experiences at MakeMyTrip, said: “Vietnam has become one of the most sought-after destinations for Indian travellers, with demand for holiday packages and experiences growing year after year. Through this association with Sun Group, we aim to bring the best of Vietnam’s resorts, hotels, and world-class attractions into our itineraries, giving Indian travellers a richer and more immersive holiday experience.”

Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group, under Sun Group, has eight theme parks and destinations across Vietnam, offering a unique version of culture, landscape, and local experiences including Sun World Ba Na Hills (Da Nang), Sun World Fansipan Legend (Sa Pa, Lao Cai), Sun World Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Sun World Hon Thom (Phu Quoc), Sun World Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh), Sun World Ha Nam (Ninh Binh), Sun World Cat Ba (Hai Phong), and Sun World Sam Son (Thanh Hoa).
