Second GMS Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting opens in Cambodia

The Second Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting (AMM-2) kicked off in Siem Reap, Cambodia on September 6.

The event, themed “Discover GMS: Asia’s Natural Hub”, is co-organised by the Cambodian Government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

In his opening remark, Mom Om Noth, secretary of state at the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, said the event offers a special chance for GMS countries to work to realise the common goal of turning agriculture into an important sector for the subregion’s economic development.

The three-day meeting will focus on discussing how to enhance understanding of agro-tourism in GMS countries and link tourism products and services.
