Reference exchange rate stable at week’s beginning
The State Bank of Vietnam set its reference VND/USD exchange rate at VND22,450/USD on August 21, unchanged from the end of last week.

With the current /- 3% VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is VND23,123 per USD and the floor rate is VND21,777 per USD.
Major commercial banks kept their rates quite stable.
Vietcombank listed VND22,690 (buying) and VND22,760 (selling), per USD, unchanged from the end of last week.
Vietinbank reduced its buying rate by VND10 to VND22,690, and set its selling rate at VND22,760, per USD, unchanged from the end of last week.
BIDV offered VND22,695 (buying) and VND22,765 (selling), per USD, also unchanged from the end of last week.
