Reference exchange rate revised down 1 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate on March 12 at 22,949 VND per USD, down 1 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,636 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,262 VND/USD. 

The opening hour rates at commercial banks stayed stable. 

Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged from March 11, listing the buying rate at 23,150 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,250 VND/USD. 

Meanwhile, the rates at BIDV also stayed unchanged since March 1, standing at 23,150 VND/USD (buying) and 23,250 VND/USD (selling). 

Techcombank also continued to maintain the same rates since March 1, at 23,130 VND/USD (buying) and 23,250 VND/USD (selling).
