Reference exchange rate goes up VND5
The daily reference exchange rate for VND/USD was set at VND22,443 on August 31, up VND5 from the day before.

With the current trading band of +/- 3%, the ceiling rate applied for commercial banks during the day is VND23,116 and the floor rate VND21,770 per USD.
Meanwhile, the opening hour rates at major commercial banks stayed flat for another day.
Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at VND22,695 and the selling rate VND22,765 per USD, the same as on August 30.
Techcombank also maintained the same buying and selling rates for the third consecutive day, at VND22,680 and VND22,775 per USD, respectively.
