PM to iron out business snags in special May 9 meeting
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will address business concerns at a special meeting on May 9 to help iron out their snags during the COVID-19 epidemic.
The information was announced by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) at a press conference in Hanoi on May 7, unveiling the main content of the meeting.
A series of discussions will take place throughout the event, with a specific focus placed on solutions for forming new supply chains to alleviate the disruption which has occurred as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, all parties are seeking to proactively and effectively make use of the local market and take the initiative in using domestic material sources for production.
According to Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Vu Dai Thang, discussions are expected to give businesses a chance to propose initiatives aimed at restoring production and getting business activities back to normal. The PM will make important decisions to improve the overall business environment.
Director of the MPI's Department of Enterprise Development Le Manh Hung stated that the event will provide a platform to examine the impact that the COVID-19 epidemic has had on production and business-related activities.
There will also be time to praise the efforts of enterprises as they bid to overcome the challenging period, while also mentioning mutual support between firms, social responsibility, as well as their active involvement in the COVID-19 battle alongside the government.
The event is expected to allow both government officials and companies to assess the implementation of policies that have been introduced by the government and the Prime Minister to support enterprises in coping with the impact of the epidemic and maintaining their operations.
