Petrol prices rise by nearly VND800 per litre on March 12

VOV.VN - Domestic oil and petrol prices climbed by approximately VND800 per litre following the latest adjustment made at 3 p.m. on March 12 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of E5 RON92 biofuel recorded an increase of VND691 to a maximum price of VND17,722 per litre, whilst RON95 witnessed a rise of VND797 to no more than VND18,881 per litre.

Furthermore, the price of diesel 0.05S was capped at VND14,401 per litre, representing a boost of VND558 per litre.

The retail price of kerosene rose by VND563 per litre to a maximum price of VND13,173 per litre.

Elsewhere, the ceiling price of Mazut 180CST 3.5S was set at VND13,769 per kilogram after an increase of VND642.

The two ministries decided to make use of the petrol price stabilisation fund, with the use for bio-fuel petrol E5 RON92 and RON95 being VND2,000 and VND1,100 per litre, respectively.

In addition, the use from the fund for both diesel and kerosene was VND600 per litre, while that of mazut was also VND600 per kilogram.

Fuel prices are typically reviewed every 15 days in order to ensure that domestic prices are adjusted in accordance with global fluctuations.
