Petrol prices increase after latest adjustment

VOV.VN - The retail prices of petrol were revised upward on the afternoon of April 3 following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of E5RON92 bio-fuel now stands at up to VND 20,370 per litre, reflecting an increase of VND 340 from the previous level. RON95-III has risen to VND 20,910 per litre, an increase of VND 273.

Diesel 0.05S and kerosene are capped at VND 18,470 and VND 18,730 per litre, up by VND 260 and VND 210, respectively. Meanwhile, mazut oil 180CST 3.5S is now priced at VND 17,020 per kg, rising by VND 120.

The two ministries decided not to use the petrol price stabilisation fund for this adjustment.

According to the Economic Times, global oil prices dropped by US$ 2 on April 3 after U.S. President Donald Trump announced reciprocal tariffs on trading partners, raising concerns that a potential global trade war could dampen crude demand.

Brent futures fell by US$ 1.97, or 2.63%, to US$ 72.98 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropped by US$ 1.98, or 2.76%, to US$ 69.73.
