Newly established businesses increase in numbers over seven months
VOV.VN - As many as 107,700 businesses were established in the first seven months of this year, representing a 10.6% year-on-year rise, according to the National Statistics Office (NSO).
They committed VND928.4 trillion in total registered capital and created some 670,000 jobs for local people, rising 5.5% and 11.6% respectively.
Besides, 66,300 businesses resumed operations in the reviewed period, rising by 49.8% from a year ago.
A standout figure was the additional capital injected into the economy, which reached more than VND3.3 trillion over the period, a year-on-year jump of 93.7%, indicating robust investment expansion among existing businesses.
Statistics show 949 newly established businesses operated in the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors, up 0.7% year on year; 23,600 businesses in the industry and construction sectors, up 3.1%; and 83,200 businesses in the service sector, up 13.1%.
Despite the positive momentum, business closures also rose. In the opening seven months of this year, around 88,600 enterprises temporarily suspended operations, 41,500 were in the process of dissolution, and 14,300 completed dissolution procedures.
On average, 20,600 businesses withdrew from the market each month.
62,000 new enterprises established during five-month period
VOV.VN - More than 61,900 first were established in Vietnam with a total registered capital of VND568.7 trillion during the first five months of the year, marking a decline of 1.6% in the number of enterprises, and 25.3% in terms of registered capital on-year, according to figures given by the General Statistics Office (GSO).
