Newly-established businesses hit record high
VOV.VN - The number of newly-established enterprises during the past seven months of the year set a new record of 89,407, an annual increase of 17.9%, according to details given by the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
Throughout the reviewed period there were a total of 44,301 enterprises resuming operations, an increase of 49.7% against the same period from last year.
In the January to July period, there were a total of 133,708 enterprises entering and re-entering the market, a 1.4-fold increase compared to the number of businesses withdrawing from the market.
In the opposite direction, 94,575 firms withdrew from the market during the first seven months of this year, representing annual growth of 18.7%.
Furthermore, 56,014 enterprises temporarily suspended operations, marking a rise of 39.2% compared to the same period last year.
