National Assembly okays key Ring Road projects in Hanoi, HCM City

VOV.VN - Lawmakers on June 16 approved investment plans for Hanoi’s Ring Road 4 and ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3, with a total investment capital of more than VND160 trillion.

Ring Road 4 has a total length of 112.8km connecting Hanoi capital with Hung Yen and Bac Ninh provinces and other localities in the capital region.

The investment project will cost VND85.8 trillion, with more than VND56 trillion sourced from the State budget.

The project is expected to be completed in 2026 and put into use the following year.

Meanwhile, Ring Road 3 has a total length of 76.34km connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An and other localities in the region.

The project has a total investment capital of more than VND75 trillion sourced from the State budget. It is set to break ground in 2022, be completed in 2025 and be put into operation the following year.

Two resolutions regarding investment plans for the two landmark projects were passed by lawmakers with a majority of votes in favour.
