Mini Thailand Week 2023 gets underway in Can Tho city
VOV.VN - The Mini Thailand Week 2023 officially kicked off on the morning of March 31 in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, with the aim of strengthening trade exchanges and co-operation among the two countries' businesses.
On display at the three-day event were a range of unique Thai products across multiple fields such as food and beverage, health care and beauty products, kitchen appliances and home appliances, fashion and accessories, children's products, travel, and cuisine.
Furthermore, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy culinary performances imbued with Thai culture and participate in plenty of other interesting activities.
Upon addressing the event, Nguyen Van Hong, vice chairman of Can Tho city’s People's Committee, emphasised that the function will serve to provide an ideal venue in which firms can explore trade and investment opportunities, expand business networks, and develop strategic partnerships.
Simultaneously, it will also help businesses to promote brands, as well as seek partners to develop production and business activities.
Hong revealed that the southern city’s leaders will continue to promote the strategic partnership between the two countries in general, as well as Can Tho city in particular, in order to contribute to the socio-economic development through the "Three Connections" strategy.
The strategy includes linkages of supply chains, grassroots economic sectors, as well as connections between the two countries' sustainable growth strategies, namely Vietnam's National Green Growth Strategy and Thailand's Bio-Circular-Green Economic Model (BCG).
