Microsoft appoints new head in Vietnam

VOV.VN - Microsoft announced on March 1 it has appointed Nguyen Quynh Tram, Google’s former Country Director for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, as General Director of Microsoft Vietnam.

Tram, in her new role, is entrusted with a task of accelerating digital transformation across all fields, helping Vietnam achieve its ambition of becoming a high-income economy by 2045.

She will assist businesses to develop cloud technology, promote post-pandemic resilience, and empower digital businesses and startups to drive innovation.

Tram has acquired more than 20 years of experience in market management in Asia and Europe. She has held senior leadership positions in the fields of technology, telecommunications and media. Before joining Microsoft, Tram held the position of Country Manager for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos at Google.

She was also Deputy General Director and CEO of FOX Networks Group and held leadership positions at Vietnamobile, VSTV – the first joint venture between Vietnam Television VTV and Pay TV Group of France Canal Plus, United Nations Development Program, PayPal and Orange.

Tram graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam, School of Economics, with a Master of Business Administration from the École Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciale (ECCEC Business School).
