Masan chairman back on Forbes billionaires list

VOV.VN - Nguyen Dang Quang, founder of Masan Group, has reappeared on Forbes’ list of billionaires after previously dropping out due to a fall in his assets.

Quang, who serves as chairman of the food company, is ranked 2,526th among real time billionaires, which was updated by the financial magazine on January 4, with a net worth of US$1 billion.

The data was duly updated based on changes occurring in the price of the firm’s shares on the stock exchange, which accounts for a majority of his assets.

Furthermore, Quang also holds 9.4 million shares of private lender Techcombank. Meanwhile, the assets of Pham Nhat Vuong, billionaire founder and chairman of Vingroup, also significantly increased.

According to Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Vuong is placed 255th among the world’s top 500 richest people with total assets of US$9.14 billion.
