Mandarin Oriental Saigon is designed by the “poet” of the design world—architect, designer Patricia Urquiola. She is also the designer of the renowned Mandarin Oriental Barcelona in Spain. Patricia is now one of the most famous interior designers with many award-wining interior masterpieces and architectural projects dotting the globe. With her design, Mandarin Oriental Saigon is expected to become the highlight of Union Square, contributing to the perfection of “The proud gem in the heart of Saigon.”
Scheduled to open in 2019, Mandarin Oriental Saigon will feature 228 rooms, six restaurants, and bars, spa, gym, and an outdoor pool of international standards. Besides, many other multifunctional spaces for events and conferences will promise invaluable experiences. This high class project shall hopefully be the perfect destination for those who are passionate for luxury resorts and experience.
“Mandarin Oriental Hotel is an established luxury brand with a unique oriental heritage. The culture of our group lies in our legendary service quality," said Richard Baker, chief relationship officer of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
"Our hotels and resorts have their own personality with a distinctive sense of place, thereby reflecting the best of their city or country, and we have built an enviable reputation for delivering creative hotel designs and architecture, award winning restaurants, as well as holistic spas and wellness centres. We look forward to creating unique experiences in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City and to raising the level of luxury hospitality in the city,” he stressed.
Johnathan Au, general director of Union Square Saigon, shared that, “Among the collection of many symbolic constructions like Saigon City Hall, Saigon Opera House or Independence Palace and many luxury malls and services gathering many famous brands from the country and the world, Union Square is proud to be an intersection of the essences of Vietnam and the world."
"Along with the unique value in architecture, location, history, and culture of this property, the development of Mandarin Oriental Saigon at Union Square affirms the stature of Vietnam on the international market. It is an important milestone that paves the way to welcome more strategic partners of high caliber to invest and develop in Vietnam in the near future,” he added.
The collaboration between Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Union Square Saigon not only opens a new direction for both parties’ sustainable development, but also satisfies the demand of municipal tourism and hotel development by drawing the attention of prestigious international investors.
