Made-in-Vietnam Goods Week gets underway in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The Made-in-Vietnam Goods Week with the theme of "Made in Vietnam - The quintessence of Vietnam" kicked off on October 23 in Hanoi with over 100 booths displaying items from local businesses nationwide.

The purpose of the event is to honour the value of high-quality Vietnamese products, thereby serving to stimulate domestic demand and promote the "Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods" campaign.

Visitors to the function can view a range of key Vietnamese commodities, including coffee, tea, cashew nuts, seafood, textiles and garments, footwear, backpacks, and handbags.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai stated that the occasion will also allow local firms to overcome the adverse impacts caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, giving them a platform in which to restore their production and recover as the country moves into a new period.

Nguyen Thi Phuong, deputy general director of Central Retail, pointed out that through the event, Central Retail Group will be able to assist local manufacturers in seeking retail businesses to boost the consumption of their products.

Phuong went on to express her belief that the occasion will permit local enterprises to secure a foothold within the domestic market, therefore promoting the brand identity of Made in Vietnam products among the international market.
