Kim Long Motor partners with Costa Rica's service cooperative to expand into Central America

VOV.VN - Vietnam's Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company (Kim Long Motor) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Costa Rica-based transport service cooperative known as Cooperativa Autogestionaria Vertex R.L.on October 27, opening opportunities to introduce its commercial vehicles into Costa Rica and the broader Central American market.

The signing ceremony in Hue city was witnessed by Victor Hugo Rojas Gonzalez, Ambassador of Costa Rica to Singapore and non-resident Ambassador to Vietnam.

Under the deal, Kim Long Motor and VERTEX R.L. agreed to establish a comprehensive cooperation framework to explore market potential. VERTEX R.L. will conduct market research and assess business development opportunities, while Kim Long Motor will provide technical specifications, product documentation, and commercial pricing data.

Based on research findings and discussions, both sides will continue negotiations regarding the appointment of VERTEX R.L. as Kim Long Motor’s official distributor across agreed territories in the future.

Speaking at the event, Kim Long Motor General Director Dao Viet Anh emphasized that signing the MOU marks a significant step in the company's export expansion strategy. He expressed confidence that VERTEX R.L.’s local market expertise and transport sector experience will serve as a solid foundation for building a commercial vehicle distribution network in Costa Rica and Central America.

VERTEX R.L. Board Chairman Avelino Salvador Fallas Monge praised Kim Long Motor's manufacturing capabilities following factory visits, noting that the partnership will deliver high-quality, sustainable transport solutions to customers in Costa Rica and Central America while laying the groundwork for a long-term strategic relationship.

Previously, Kim Long Motor exported vehicles to the Republic of Korea (RoK), Thailand, and the Philippines. The partnership with VERTEX R.L. paves the way for further expansion into neighboring Central American nations, including Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Through this agreement, Kim Long Motor continues to affirm its ambition to bring "Made in Vietnam" automotive products to the global market as a contribution to the country's rapid and sustainable economic development.
