Khanh Hoa pushes to attract investment from Singapore with breakthrough potential
VOV.VN - Southcentral Khanh Hoa province is actively attracting investment from Singapore, with a particular focus on its favorable location, infrastructure development, and special mechanisms to develop renewable energy, high-tech sectors, tourism, and modern urban zones.

The Khanh Hoa-Singapore Investment Promotion Conference was held in Singapore on May 28, co-hosted by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), and the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore.
The event attracted about 250 delegates representing major domestic and international corporations, investors, experts, as well as media agencies.
The conference showcased the province’s strengths, development directions, and investment sectors, highlighting ongoing projects. It also provided a platform for leaders, experts, and business communities from both countries to discuss and explore promising investment collaborations.
The event emphasized successful past partnerships between Khanh Hoa and Singaporean and international partners. Leaders of Khanh Hoa reiterated their commitment to improving the investment environment by streamlining procedures, reducing licensing time, and ensuring maximum transparency and convenience for investors.
During the conference, provincial officials directly addressed inquiries from attending companies, offering tailored solutions and highlighting advantages for specific projects.
Aiming to deepen Vietnam-Singapore relations and implement the comprehensive strategic partnership, the conference seeks to contribute specific programs and actions to boost investment attraction from Singapore’s business community.
At the conference, participants hailed Khanh Hoa’s potential and cooperation opportunities. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, emphasized the event’s important role in connecting and expanding markets into the city island nation, while affirming the province’s eagerness to welcome investors for visits and development cooperation.
Lennon Tan, Chairman of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), noted that Khanh Hoa is a high-growth area with huge potential in green energy and non-industrial sectors such as tourism, thus offering diverse investment opportunities. He also expressed optimism about the possibility of establishing direct flights between the two nations, which would facilitate trade.
Nguyen Tran Hung, Director of FPT in Singapore, identified four factors attracting investment to Khanh Hoa, including strategic alignment, rapid growth targets focused on technology, a young and abundant workforce, and well-developed infrastructure. He confirmed a commitment to connecting top Singaporean partners with the province and the Vietnamese market.
Christanto Suryadarma, representing Singapore’s Zebra technology company, shared confidence in major opportunities in industrial manufacturing due to Khanh Hoa’s favorable location and the new infrastructure being developed.
He also greatly valued the potential for tourism, hotels, and resorts, which are especially attractive to Singaporean hospitality investors.
