Japan’s ODA contributes to Vietnam’s development

Japan’s official development assistance (ODA) has been used effectively in Vietnam and significantly contributed Vietnam’s socio-economic development, particularly in infrastructure, economics, education, and science-technology.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the remarks during his meeting with Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mori Mutsuya in Hanoi on November 29.

Lauding the burgeoning growth in the Vietnam – Japan relations, he said he believes that bilateral ties will be strengthened in all fields, particularly the development of human resources and infrastructure.

The Deputy PM expressed his wish that Japan will continue its ODA provision for Vietnam at a high level and cooperate with the country in carrying out important socio-economic projects.

For his part, Mori Mutsuya spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements in the past time.

He affirmed that he will work more to bolster the two sides’ relations in economics, science-technology and education-training.
