International electronics and smart appliances expo opens in Hanoi
VOV.VN - The Vietnam International Electronics & Smart Appliances Expo 2023 (IEAE Hanoi) opened at the International Centre for Exhibition (ICE) on November 2 in Hanoi.
Covering a space of 10,000 square metres, the event features tens of thousands of electrical and household electronic appliances, smart devices, computers, phones, accessories and gaming equipment, and electronic components and other products from over 200 domestic and foreign businesses and producers.
Upon adressing the opening ceremony, To Ngoc Son, deputy director of the Asia - Africa Market Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, noted that with strong economic development coupled with a young population, the nation represents a potential consumer market for a number of electronic products.
Son went on to state that Vietnam spent over US$105 billion on importing phones, computers, electronic products, and household electrical appliances and components in 2022, up 6.2% compared to the same period from 2021.
According to details given by the deputy director, IEAE Hanoi contributes to expanding product supply, whilst boosting the development of a high-quality electronic consumer market in the country.
A number of forums and seminars will be held on the sidelines of the expo, with a particular focus on developing electronics and smart appliances and promoting innovation and the industry’s development.
IEAE Hanoi, co-organised by the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising JSC (Vinexad) and Chaoyu Expo of China, will last until November 4.
