Health industry expo opens to huge crowds
VOV.VN - The biannual Medi-Pharm Expo has opened to huge crowds on August 11, with more than 350 participating exhibitors from 25 countries setting up booths at the Saigon Exhibition and Conferences Centre in Ho Chi Minh City.

The highlight of opening day was Kazakhstan, who is participating in the event for the first time and the country’s exhibition booth featuring pharmaceutical products, blood vacuum tubes, and disposable products.
Representatives of Kazakhstan said they are anxious to compete in the Vietnamese market. In particular they are looking forward to forming an alliance with the Cho Ray Hospital with regards to fertility treatment.
Iran is another first timer at the three-day event running through August 13, showcasing primarily pharmaceutical products.
Highlights of the event include a series of conferences chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association on the ‘Local Medical Pharmacy Market and Polices’ along with tours of the Cho Ray Hospital.
The tours of Cho Ray Hospital are intended to provide foreign guests with a realistic first-hand look at local medical practice and treatment.
