Hanoi pledges support for Dutch De Heus Group’s agriculture investment projects

VOV.VN - Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Tran Duc Thang met with representatives of Royal De Heus Group of the Netherlands and Hung Nhon Group on May 6, reaffirming the city’s readiness to create favorable conditions for high-tech and sustainable agriculture projects.

At the meeting,  the municipal leader hailed the close cooperation between Royal De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group, while describing De Heus as one of the world’s leading companies in sustainable agriculture and livestock farming.

He said growing ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands have encouraged Dutch businesses to seek investment opportunities and expand successfully in Vietnam, contributing to relations between the two countries.

The Hanoi Party chief expressed confidence that Royal De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group would continue expanding investment in Vietnam, particularly in Hanoi.

Co de Heus, Chairman of Royal De Heus Group, thanked the Vietnamese Government and Hanoi authorities for their support for the agricultural sector. He said the group, with more than 110 years of development across four generations, has built extensive experience in agriculture, particularly in animal nutrition.

Noting the growing scale and increasing professionalism of livestock farming in Vietnam, Co de Heus said the sector offers considerable potential and expressed a desire to strengthen practical cooperation through specific projects, contributing to the development of Hanoi’s agriculture and agricultural trade.

Tran Duc Thang said Hanoi has major advantages as Vietnam’s political and administrative center, with a large population, a high number of visitors and extensive links with other localities in Vietnam and abroad.

He stated that demand for food and agricultural products in the capital remains high, while local cultivation and livestock production have yet to fully meet demand. Hanoi is therefore seeking investors to develop high-quality production infrastructure and increase added value in agricultural production chains.

Thang affirmed that Hanoi is ready to create the best possible conditions for Royal De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group to explore investment and business opportunities in the city, based on a “win-win” spirit and responsible operations.
