De Heus partners with Seaprodex to boost shrimp, pangasius exports
VOV.VN - Dutch animal nutrition product supplier De Heus and Vietnam Seafood Corporation (Seaprodex) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase the export of shrimp and pangasius products.
The signing of the MoU serves to affirm De Heus' long-term commitment to promoting the sustainable development of the Vietnamese aquatic industry.
Under the signed document, De Heus and Seaprodex will accompany local aquaculture farmers to improve product quality, and expand export potential to international markets, especially Europe.
As a prominent leader in nutrition and livestock solutions, De Heus will provide optimal nutritional solutions, support modern farming techniques, control diseases, and co-ordinate effective supply chains for shrimp and pangasius towards ensuring sustainable development, thereby reducing emissions and protecting the environment.
In particular, De Heus will also act as a bridge and seek export partners, targeting the potential European market and duly opening up new opportunities for Vietnamese seafood within the international market.
Meanwhile, Seaprodex will continue developing farming areas under a sustainable model, as well as purchasing and processing seafood products which meet export standards, thereby creating a solid foundation for the shrimp and pangasius value chain.
In September 2024, De Heus launched a new aqua feed mill in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho to produce pangasius feed. Located at the Tra Noc II Industrial Park in O Mon district, the US$20 million mill has a total designed capacity of 240,000 tonnes annually.
