Hanoi Gift Show 2018 to draw more than 250 exhibitors

The show will include an introduction of handicraft products of craft villages and artisans of Hanoi and other provinces and cities, consultancy on sample designs, and an international workshop on craft villages and handicraft products.

The event is expected to attract around 12,000 visitors, including more than 600 foreign importers mainly from the US, the Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada and Brazil. Particularly, for the first time, the fair’s organizing board will implement a business connectivity program between participating enterprises with foreign importers to help them connect with enterprises with suitable products.

At a press conference to introduce the event on October 11 in Hanoi, vice director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Dam Tien Thang said in addition to goods of export businesses and craft villages, the show will present more than 100 products designed by domestic and foreign experts and products which won prizes at the design contest for handicraft products in 2018.

The show will provide a good chance for domestic businesses to promote their products, seek aspiring business partners and expand export markets, and for foreign importers to visit production units to shorten transaction negotiation time. For artisans and businesses, it’s an opportunity to gain some experience in handicraft product design, production and trading.
