Hanoi, Fukuoka bolster investment, trade, tourism cooperation

(VOV) - Hanoi People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Hong Son has called on businesses from Japan’s Fukuoka prefecture to penetrate into the local market so as to fully exploit each side’s advantages,

Addressing a conference in Fukuoka on August 26 with the participation of 65 Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises, Son pledged to offer favourable conditions for businesses to cooperate in investment, trade and tourism, adding that Hanoi wants to attract foreign investments towards state-of-the-art technologies and technological transfer for sustainable development.

Hanoi is making every effort to enhance trade links with Fukuoka and working out strategies for attracting more tourists from the Japanese prefecture, he said.

Japanese businesses were briefed on changes in Vietnam’s 2014 Investment and Business Laws as well as the city’s investment environment, orientations and policies and both sides signed a memorandum of understanding.

The capital city's four businesses  also introduced their advantages and cooperation plans with partners from Fukuoka.
