Hanoi fair features handicrafts and OCOP products

VOV.VN - A fair showcasing a range of handicrafts and products under the One Commune Once Product (OCOP) Programme launched in Hanoi on November 5.

The annual event organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development features a total of 150 pavilions with an array of items on display.

The purpose of the fair is to introduce handicraft and OCOP products to consumers nationwide, whilst also providing opportunities for businesses to meet, exchange, and seek partnerships.

During the fair’s opening ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam explained that locally-produced handicrafts have great potential to help strengthen and boost economic development in rural areas, while simultaneously creating jobs for local labourers.

Throughout the duration of the fair organisers gave away 42 awards to the best handicraft products and honoured artisans from craft villages nationwide.

The fair is scheduled to last until November 9.
