Hanoi exhibitions highlight emerging technologies in logistics, supply chains

An international exhibition series covering warehousing, automation, cold chain, smart delivery and logistics opened in Hanoi on October 28, bringing businesses together to explore technologies and strengthen cooperation across the logistics and supply chain sectors.

Organised by Connect Exposition Co., Ltd., the two-day event comprises four industry-focused exhibitions: the Vietnam Warehousing & Automation Show (VWAS), the Cold Chain & Refrigeration Exhibition (CO-REF), Smart Delivery Vietnam (SDV), and the Viet Cargo Expo (VCE).

The exhibition series aims to connect businesses in warehousing, automation, cold chain management, delivery services and cargo transportation. Through product displays and seminars, participants can explore technological solutions, exchange experience, seek partners and expand cooperation opportunities in Vietnam and overseas.

Prashant Narain, director of Strategy and Business at Connect Exposition Asia, said the event focuses on Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam and Thailand. By concentrating on these two markets, the exhibitions seek to address their specific logistics requirements and respond to the evolving needs of regional supply chains.

As logistics operations face growing demands to reduce costs, improve efficiency and strengthen connectivity, businesses are increasingly looking to technology and modern management models. Warehouse automation, cold chain management, cargo tracking and streamlined delivery processes are playing an increasingly important role in the movement of goods.

Alongside the exhibitions, a two-day seminar programme on October 28–29 features seven panel discussions on key issues shaping the logistics and supply chain industries.

Five sessions are scheduled for October 28, covering cold chain integrity for food, pharmaceuticals and other goods; risk management and regional trade within ASEAN supply chains; the use of artificial intelligence, robotics and smart order fulfillment in warehouse-to-doorstep operations; the development of faster, smarter and more resilient air and sea freight networks; and the application of technology to cargo handling and logistics operations.

The programme continues on October 29 with two discussions centering on the transformation of Vietnam’s postal, parcel delivery and logistics networks, and the changing landscape of e-commerce and retail fulfillment, from online ordering to final delivery.

The exhibition series aims to facilitate trade, strengthen links between domestic and international businesses, and help industry participants access new technologies and keep pace with emerging trends. It also seeks to broaden cooperation opportunities and drive innovation across Vietnam’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem.
