Hanoi exhibition promotes sustainable production and consumption trend
VOV.VN - An exhibition themed “Sustainable Consumption Towards the Green Era” opened in Hanoi on June 27 evening marking a significant milestone in Vietnam’s commitment to green growth, innovation, and responsible consumption.

The exhibition is part of the 2021-2030 National Action Programme on Sustainable Production and Consumption, jointly organised by the National Competition Commission and the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), in collaboration with the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Online Newspaper.
Speaking at the event, MoIT Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan emphasised the government's commitment to promoting sustainable business models and consumption behaviours.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade is fully committed to supporting enterprises in transitioning to sustainable production and encouraging the adoption of green technologies. We call on all stakeholders to act collectively and support consumers on the path toward sustainability,” said Tan.
The exhibition serves as a platform to advance Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, and contributes directly to the national strategy for sustainable economic growth during 2021–2030.
“This is more than just a media event. It’s a platform that bridges policy with practice, connects businesses with consumers, and aligns innovation with responsible consumer behavior,” stressed Pham Manh Hung, VOV vice president.
He affirmed that as a leading media outlet, VOV is committed to driving awareness and shaping public attitudes through storytelling, education, and engagement.
This year’s two-day event features more than 50 booths from 30 domestic and international enterprises that showcase a wide variety of eco-friendly, sustainable products and solutions. It provides interactive experiences for the public to learn about smart, responsible consumption.

The exhibition hosted expert panel discussions themed “Green Enterprises – Creating Sustainable Value from the Roots” and “Greening Life – From Ideas to Action,” offering practical insights and inspired collaborative solutions among businesses, government, and consumers.
To promote sustainable production and consumption, delegates suggested strengthening incentives for sustainable enterprises and improving transparency; encouraging green technologies, value chain sustainability, and research and development; and inspiring the public to adopt responsible consumption habits, from waste sorting to choosing eco-friendly products.
